Suggest Treatment For Gag Reflux

Hi, I have been having a lot of different health concerns lately, namely, feet, ankle and now knee swelling, and lately, major gag reflex!!! Almost every morning when I wake up, if I cough once, I start gagging, and when i go to brush my teeth, I gag so much I usually throw up, this is completely new and is very worrisome... I have been seeing my family Dr, however, tests show nothing wrong...what could this be??? Oh, also I have had a major sore tongue, I one a small lesion of some kind on each side (almost matching) mid tongue, I went to the clinic, and one Dr gave me a tongue cream (similar to orajel) - not helping....can you help?
