Suggest Treatment For Frequently Occurring Boils

Hi I am 43 yrs old., female and I suffer with boil like bumps in the peri area . I will get like 2-3 at a time . I shower regular. They sometime get as big as an almond. When they do go away (after I pop them). I won't have them for about 2-3 weeks, then they come back in the same spot. I have tried antibiotics, I have tried that Hibiscus soap that the hospitals use before surgery, but nothing seems to help. I'm in desperate need of relief.

Hello,
Welcome to health care magic.
I am Dr Alok Sinha, MD Psychiatry from India. I can understand your concern. I will try my best to answer your query.

Apparently you are having recurrent Carbuncles. Carbuncles are skin infection bigger than boil and the infection is also in deeper layers of skin. They are stubborn to be treated and prone to recur on the same site. Buttock and peri-anal area are prone to this infection due to vicinity to anus. Antibiotics may temporarily suppress the infection but it may recur again due to persistence of infection in deeper pocket of skin. Further in all cases of recurrent infection, diabetes and immune-suppression has to be ruled out. So blood sugar, Hb, TLC, DLC etc has to be done.
You should consult a surgeon who may examine you, investigate you in detail and advice you accordingly.

I hope it answers your query. I wish you all the best.
