Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
sir, i am suffering from hedache (normally three to four times in a month) pain ? My neurologist is in doubt that either it is migraine or sinusitis. He suggested for CRP and free T4 & TSH tests for blood. Is he is going in right direction or some other tests are also required to confirm the actual problem
Thank you for your query, It would be better if you can provide detail history and presentation of headache like area of head involved, type of pain whether it is heaviness, throbbing, intermittent or continous for long duration, what is your blood pressure pattern, age, sexand any other medical history. Now coming to migrane and sinusitis,In migrane the haadache would be for a longer duration and you will feel heaviness in head, migrane is very oftenly triggered by exposure to bright light or sunlight and one feel relief in a dark room. Sinusitis is oftenly associated with frequent attacks of cold and cough another pecularity of sinusitis is sudden increase in pain when one bent forward.Headache associated with sinusitis may get relieved by a course of antibiotics and steam inhalation.
