Suggest Treatment For Foot Injury

About a month ago I had a chair leg come down on the top of my foot and since then I keep having these stabbing pains run across my foot when I rested. Today I slipped on some water on the floor and fell and it fell like my foot snapped but I m able to walk on it but the stabbing pakns come in waves now wether I m walking or standing and I have hard swelling around my ties and top of foot. Also I have in my toes pins and needles/tingling. Do you think I could have damaged/fractured it even though I can still walk on it.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us,

I have studied your case with diligence.
Due to injury there is possibility of foot metatarsal fracture.
I will advise to do x ray and rule out fracture.

And pain also can be due to stress fracture as you injured.

Just consult your doctor
Till time take medication like analgesic and apply crepe bandage over foot or use supportive splint.
Physiotherapy will help to reduce swelling over foot.
Some nutrients which are important for recovery after surgery include vitamin C, folic acid, calcium, vitamin D, VIT B12.so supplements of these nutrients will lead to early recovery..

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
If you are satisfied with the answer, please give your review at the end of the discussion.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
