Suggest Treatment For Folliculitis On Scrotum

yes I just seen a doctor today and was diagnosed with folliculitis of the scrotum, he basically said there was nothing he could do for me, he prescribed me Erythrocin 500 mg and said he doubt it would work, is there really nothing I can do to treat and get rid of this problem?
