Hi and welcome to HCM,
Fortunately, floaters , for a majority of time, are innocent. But in cases of elderly individuals, diabetics, hypertensives, they could be a sign of something serious.
In your case, your doctor has examined you and opined that they are the innocent ones and will gradually disappear.
My only advice is that, seek immediate medical attention, if the number of floaters suddenly increase in number and are accompanied by flashes of light.
All the very best health for you and your family!!!
