Suggest Treatment For Fish Bone Stuck In The Throat

on 29th June while eating fish bone stuck in my throat ... ihttp://d3kvn6nhl873a4.cloudfront.net/web/images/mashup/hpProcessV1.pngmmediately i went Hospital and saw ENT... He made some test inserting light and tube into my nose and throat.. he said once he saw the fish bone. then e could not see... he asked me to make x-ray but could not see the bone. put me on antibiotics and gargle. also asked to get admitted to make endoscopy. since i had to travel next day i did not agree for that. i took the medicines but still pain was there... after two days again it started pricking so went to ENT.... once again doctors made X-Ray but no bone could be seen. They said no bone. but still it is pricking for me. Shoud i go for Endoscopy? kindly advise. i am diabetic since 18 years.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Good Day to you. Thanks for the query. You have pricking sensation after accidently swallowing fish bone. As the bone is not coming in x-ray, most probably it went down and pricking sensation is due to injury caused by the bone. But still, to be on safe side its better to go for endoscopy if you are still having pricking sensation after so many days and you are diabetic too so we dont want any infection to take place due to injury. I would suggest you to do endoscopy to avoid further injury by the bone.
I hope this will be helpful to you.
