Suggest Treatment For Fever, Weakness, Cough And Low WBC Count

My daughter has been sick for 14 days now, 2 ER trips. Hasn t been able to work. She s 36 Wt. 130 Ht 5 8 Fever off an on 101° to 104° Not 1 day out if 14 with out the fever Her white blood count is very low 1.4 Should be 5.2 - 10. She s very weak Single mother with a live in boyfriend She is a smoker She has a cough No strength ER 2 times, gave her IV she was dehydrated Doctor said it s a virus She s been on several antibiotics Nothing is helping.

Hello. Thanks for asking Healthcare Magic. This can be a virus but there are other causes also. Viral fever usually goes off in a week or so. Other reasons of low white cells include autoimmune disorders and other infections such as tuberculosis. I would suggest to go for sputum examination and montoux test. I would also like to know about other blood tests such as platlet counts and ESR. Please revert back to me with these tests reports. Thanks and regards.
