I have fever, chillness and swollen lymph glands on right neck. consulted ENT specialist who told that it is viral infection and prescribed ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily. I want to know whether I have been diagnosed and treated correctly. If not what is my exact problem and correct treatment.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The fever can be because of the bacterial or viral infection. If it is a bacterial infection, you can take ciprofloxacin. If it is of viral origin you can take a course of antiviral agents like acyclovir. In case of viral infections, you will be having body pain and fever. So consult a good general physician and get it evaluated.
I hope I have answered your query, take care.
