Suggest Treatment For Fever And Sore Throat In A Child
My 3 year old son has a high grade fever with sore throat. He also bumped his head on the floor a day before that but did not vomit or show any signs of confusion. Paracetamol syrup does not seem to be working as fever is persistent even after three 6 hourly doses. Is there any relation of high grade fever to fall and hit on the head or it s just because of sore throat?

Fever is a part of sore throat due to any upper respiratory tract infection.
It will need treatment with antibiotic like amoxycillin/augmentin and ibugesic syrup 1 spoon thrice for 3-5 days.
Please visit paediatrician for this and physical examination.Dose calculation of drugs require body weight.
Give warm water to drink and maintain adequate hydration and healthy diet.
Avoid fried and chilled food.
