Suggest Treatment For Fever And Neck Pain

My daughter is 35. She just came from outside and I noticed her right pupil is very dialated. The left is of normal side. I tested her R eye with a flashlight for reaction. It dose get a little smaller but not as small as the L eye. No head injury or headache, fever, drooping or neck pain. Please advise.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am sorry for the eye problems your 35 year old daughter is going through.

The dilatation of only one pupil is called anisocoria.

As you do not report any recent headache, fever, using dropping meds locally or any other drug orally; or no neck pain, and if the right pupil is dilated just recently and not since her birth, then, it could be a neurological problem.

I highly recommend to consult immediately with an ophtalmologist for further investigation tests and appropriate treatment.

Wish fast recovery.
