General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Treatment of sty needs gentle hot compresses/proper cleaning of eyelid with warm cotton swab -- changing it every time/every eye along with antibiotic eye drops. Recurrent sties need the consultation of an ophthalmologist for detailed examination/excluding exhalation followed by oral antibiotic, local care as per need, and checking for refractory index is essential. Allergy or skin conditions need to be evaluated in non-responding problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
