Suggest Treatment For Eye Injury

Hello, my son, age 24, was assaulted three weeks ago and suffered blunt trauma to his eye. He has had two surgeries since, most recently last Wed. He was taking 40 mg of prednisone prior to the surgery and 60 mg. of percocet for pain pre-and post-surgery. After the surgery, his eye doctor said to taper off the prednisone over four days (20, 10, 10, 10 mg.). He has felt bad for three days...headaches, fatigue, etc. Could it be prednisone withdrawl? Rebound headaches? He is trying not to take the percocet for fear of the latter and is trying extra strength tylenol instead.

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that your son had eye injury and he is on treatment with prednisolone.
The symptoms of headache and tiredness can be because of prednisolone. If the symptoms persist you may need to change the drugs.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Hope this is helpful to you.
