Suggest Treatment For Excessive Thirst After Intake Of Vancomycin
I am on Cancomycin - day 7. It IS killing the CDIFF infection I have. Howemsver, I am experiencing extreme thirst to a point where I am dehydrated, weak, flu like symptoms. Been to the emergency room twice because of severe weakness and extreme flu-like feeling (too weak to drive). They plce an IV with water and salene which makes me feel GREAT. My hunger returns and I am fleeing fine - then they send me home and it starts all over again. How can I convince them that trying to drink extra water and sport drink will not counter act this side effect? I tried. I drink till I m sick and it still will not correct the problem. Jim Davies

Thank you for following up .I suggest-
1. Keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water allday, you can drink 2 litres of fluid,no problems.
2.Check sugar in blood,liver and pancreas tests after taking of antibiotic.
3.For decreasing of parenchymal reaction after antibiotic therapy you can use LIV 52 2 tablets twice a day after 15 min before meal for 1 month.
4.For correction flora of intestine take visilac(bifilac) 1 capsule 2 times during 1 month.
You will get better, don't worry,just use remedies which I suggest for quick cure.
