Hi, Your condition in medical terms is called generalized
hyperhidrosis. Yes , I understand that it is distressing. I would like to suggest the following tests to be done to exclude the possibility of endocrine (
hormonal) problems that could be causing your problem of
excessive sweating. As the first step Please get a Thyroid function test (TSH, T3 and T4), Random blood sugar, serum
cortisol, serum sodium & potassium . You may try a medicine called
Glycopyrrolate 4mg tablet taken on an empty stomach everyday and see if this gives you some relief . You may also keep your body cool by drinking sufficient water and keeping yourself well hydrated. There is a procedure called
Iontophoresis which is found to be helpful in reducing sweating in few areas of the body. You may also dust your body with a mixture of cornstarch & salt to minimize sweating. If your sweating is related to some anxiety inducing situations you may also try stress reducing techniques &
relaxation techniques such as yoga/ taichi etc according to your individual preferences. Most important is to keep yourself well hydrated at all times . You may carry a portable handheld fan if possible to keep yourself cool. Best regards.
