So the past 4 days I haven t been able to achieve a full erection I have been able to get semi-hard but not fully, and my testicles are a little swollen and hurt. I can still have an orgasm when I m semi hard but when i do the sperm is more gelatinous and I can roll it into a small ball. Not all of it like that just parts is that dead sperm?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Erectile dysfunction can be pathological or psychological thus, certain investigations are required to know the probable cause of erectile dysfunction. Swollen testicles can occur due to varicocele or collection of fluid in between the coverings of testis, soft tissue swelling etc. A clinical assessment is necessary to know exact cause of these symptoms. Gelatinous semen suggests that the semen is more viscous. Viscosity of semen is increased in cases of infection most commonly. Thus, in addition to clinical assessment, semen analysis is also required after atleast 3 days of abstinence. Thus, clinical assessment and examination of semen is required before assessing erectile dysfunction. Consult an urologist for further work up.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
