Suggest Treatment For Epolepsy

Hi, I'm 52yrs of age and have been having epilepsy since age 13, I was on tegretol which controlled my grand mal seizures but not my petite mal, i was put on epilim about 8yrs ago and have gained over 20kg until then i had never had a problem with weight, i always lost my pregnancy wait easily and after all five children - i am heavier now than at anytime i was pregnant! I have tried diets exercise and weight loss aids but nothing works, i also feel lethargic and have mood swings and get depressed because of this and have lost all self confidence, i am at my wits end! it isn't like i eat a lot i don't! how can i lose weight so that i don't feel so heavy and uncomfortable all the time???

HI
Well come to HCM
petit mal syndrome is commonly seen pediatric age group and grand mal seizure may not this be together, of course you must be having grand mal seizure, and this can be well control with medicines, weight gain may not be due to disease or medicine, there must be some functional condition which is responsible for disturbances in your confidence, try to come out of this, have a nice day.
