Suggest Treatment For Epididymitis

After hurting my left testicle, I was diagnosed with epididymitis amd prescribed anti-biotics. And I was wondering if it would hinder the testicle further and stop it from healing, or cause alot of discomfort to have sex. I have taken my first dosage of the anti-biotics (Two 500mg tablets) today and it is now 10 hours later. I have also taken four ibuprofen tablets in total in the past ten hours. (Two tablets every four hours)

Help would be much appreciated.

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

You have Epididymitis along with Traumatic Orchiitis.
The treatment is ::
-First all you need a strict bed rest.
-Scrotal supports.
- Urgent color doppler and ultrasonography and if possible MRI of the scrotum.
- Rest of the treatment as you are already taking.

-Review color doppler after 3 days - 7 day and 15 days to see the progress.
