Suggest Treatment For Elevated Levels Of BUN And Creatinine

Hello, I have had borderline renal function tests for the past 1 year. My last test was bun -14/ cr - 1.2. Is this that abnormal? I m a 40 year old male. Should I be concerned? What can I do to improve this? What tests should I ask for my doctor to perform? Thank you, Carlos

Hello Carlos,
Thanks for posting to HCM.
After going through the report that you have posted about your renal function test, it doesn't seem that there is any abnormality.
BUN is nothing but Blood Urea Nitrogen, which is 14 is absolutely within normal range. Also Serum Creatinine of 1.2 is well within normal range for your age.
Hence, you just need to relax and stop worrying about this as you have perfect renal functions.
All you can do is keep yourself well hydrated by drinking enough fluids to maintain renal function normally.
Hope the information provided is useful.
Wish you Happy and Healthy life.
