I have right ear pain with hiccups. sometimes i get a sudden sharp stabbing pain from the inside of my ear out, even without hiccups. my ears ring at times. occasionally i get a lump behind my ear. i do notice pressure changing sounds a lot. i had tubes put in when i wa a baby, the ride hole never closed up after my tube came out and i had a graft done. the last time i got sick i went to primed and they told me my ear drum was retracted but nothing was done for it. i am 18.
HI. Thanks for an elucidate history and understanding of hte problem. The finding that the ear drum is retracted is sue to Eustachian tube dysfunction. Tubes were inserted for this only, but looks that it did not help.
I would advise you in such a situation the following: -All over again to start afresh to see the clinical evaluation, CT mastoids, Audiometry to correlated with the clinical findings. -To start with proper long term treatment with the aim to keep the Eustachian tube patent and normal. -This can be achieved by: Antibiotics Oral steroids Nasal drops Keep away from all the factors that instigate or enhance the problems. Continue the treatment till you are alright .
