Suggest Treatment For Ear Pain

Hi- My ear hurts kinda bad. It s been going on for a few weeks now. It feels like there s a scab in there I have picked it a few times and It just seems to come back. I open my mouth very wide it also hurts to. It feels like whenever I use any muscle on that side that it hurts. Advil and such have been working but only for the time it says after that it is back again.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query.
In my opinion, ear pain in your case can be because of ear canal injury caused due to removal of scabs leading to external ear infection or second probable cause can be infection of the temporo mandibular joint which is present in front of the ear canal.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have examined you first, and the n suggested anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs twice daily for 3 to 5 days.
If symptoms persists even after 3 days of this treatment, then I would suggest penicillin antibiotics.
This treatment is given for both conditions.
Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
