Suggest Treatment For Ear Blockage With Hearing Impairment

My grandson has had a rock stuck in his ear for over two weeks. The doctors in the emergency room could not get it out. He was sent to an ent who could not get it out in his office and said that it would need surgery. The ear is completely blocked and he cannot hear from it The ent doctor said he was too busy to do the surgery but would get to it when he could. Is this ok? I don t think so. Please advise.
