Suggest Treatment For Dry Skin Patches On The Face
I have been experiencing very dry skin patches on my face and 2 dry circular red patches on my arm. The dry patches on my face are tight making my face look wrinkled and now are peeling. This has been going on for a few months but seems to be getting worse lately. I have tried different moisturizers with out much success. What could be going on? I am a 48 year old woman who eats healthy and lives a healthy lifestyle.
the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as sunburn or photoallergic dermatitis . In this condition the symptoms like peeling of skin and dry patches become prominent . I would suggest you to :-
Wash your face with cold water .
Apply cold compresses to your face 2-3 times a day .
If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe steroid ointment and retinoids .
