Suggest Treatment For Dry Skin On Fingers

Hello Doctor, my wife has a dry skin on fingers of right hand. Problem becomes critical after using soap. Cracks on the finger also becomes reddish generally after washing clothes. However left hand is OK. She get relief for some time by applying Betnovate N . What should we use to cure that.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dry skin on fingers . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like eczema , contact dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis. Sometimes weather change can also cause such symptoms . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , allergy test and skin patch test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment and immunosuppressants . For now apply petroleum jelly or olive oil and tale anti histamine like benadryl .
