Suggest Treatment For Dizziness , Nausea , Diarrhea And Vomiting

Was having ordinary day with ordinary health. All of the sudden about 3pm I started feeling nausea & dizzy- I vomited large amounts along with explosive diarrhea that turned clear & projectile like strength. This occurred over 3 hours. I was drenched in sweat & couldn t hold my head up. Every time that I vomited it would send my abdomen into clumps of muscle cramps which would feel like it was pushing my ribcage in terrible angles. Then, my jaw started spasming & went into a clench that required me prying it apart with my fingers. I decided to go to ER after I took my temp twice (2 differ thermometers)= 95.5 oral. When I arrived at ER I had one more explosive diarrhea. Bp attempted 3 times in triage unmeasurable. Took me to room- hr 120. Drew labs- wbc 27,000, absgrans 24 thous per & absmonocytes 1.7 thous per. I was given zofran & fluids & didn t have anymore vomiting or diarrhea. What do you think it was? I had eaten lunch 1 hr before hibachi steak & lobster & a six piece sushi roll that I shared w hubby & he never got sick. The following day & now day 5 after- gassy, nausea & fatigue w headaches.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,

Dizziness,nausea,vomiting and diarrhea could be due to acute gastroenteritis or viral gastroenteritis for which you have been treated with zofran and other symptomatic treatment and you also improved with it.

Your stomach or abdominal cramps like symptoms and sudden dizzy with nausea are also indicative of some gastro-intestinal issue and most probably infection from some food.

Also,it is quite possible that your huband may not get infected when you shared that lunch with him and you got above symptoms.

Generally,it is to be given antibiotics with anaerobic bacteria coverage
(quinolones with ornidazole) with antispasmodic, water and electrolyte replacements,with probiotics like lactobaccillus, racecadotril etc.

Avoid heavy food or outside food until the infective diarrhea gets subsides.
Have only light and liquid diet.
