Your symptoms are very suggestive of an inner ear disorder, called Benign Positional Paroxysmal Vertigo. This is a benign condition, caused by some changes in the inner ear. The episodes of dizziness and lightheadness during the last years, don t seem to be related to your actual situation. They may be related to orthostatic hypotension or any other metabolic disorders. I recommend consulting with the ENT specialist and perform labyrinthine tests. Another test, I would advise, is a Doppler ultrasound of the neck vessels, to examine better the blood flow to the brain and rule out any possible vessel stenosis. Hope to have been helpful!
