Suggest Treatment For Diverticulitis With Shoulder Pain

I have constant gas and gurgling in my stomach. I went for tests, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and I was told that I have diverticulosis and to watch my diet. 2 months later, same symptoms and I do watch what I eat. The pain goes into my back and between shoulder blades. I was tested for gallbladder, but was told that s not the problem. Your thoughts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history constant gas and gurgling, all the tests of colonoscopy and all indicated that you have diverticulosis.
If they say diverticulosis and you have symptoms of pain it is possible that you have infection and complications.
CT scan of the abdomen can tell us the better picture.
If diverticulitis is recurrent then you may need surgery to remove that segment of the colon that has the infection and inflammation.
CT scan also would help toi confirm or rule out any other cause.
