Usually at this much dilatation I recommend surgery and not the conservative long term monitoring. If you don't have any comorbidity or disease that contraindicates surgery, I suggest you to go for surgery before you travel abroad. As such travel has not much effect on the lesion but there are high chances for rupture of the
aorta and also the thrombo-embolic events the may cause a thrombus/embolus formation that may lodge in the
Renal Artery and will lead to significant and irreversible damage to one or both the kidneys.
Such kind of emboli may also lodge into heart vessels and lungs that are life threatening emergencies.
