Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Swallowing

8 year old son today diagnosed with an enlarged adenoid which is causing trouble swallowing. He had tested positive for strep a few days ago but had no other symptoms other than trouble swallowing. No sore throat, throat was not red, tonsils looked good, no fever... how common is this and should steriods and antibiotics do the job and help this poor kid eat again?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Adenoids enlargement usually causes difficulty in breathing with nasal block.Usually adenoid enlargement also associated with tonsillar enlargement which can cause difficulty in swallowing. Please confirm this with ent specialist as surgical option is gives more apt for such a patient.
