Good evening, Dr. Grief. I suffer from IBS and often have vomiting with it, and struggle with lack of appetite and unintentional weight loss. Even the Rx Marinol and Cyproheptadine are failing after a few weeks of use. I m 5 4 @ 108 lbs today, but usually should be aroung 119. I am caucasian from OHIO. I have been Dx d with GERD,IBS, Barrett s, and a small Hiatal hernia. In the last several weeks I have been noticing an uncomfortable feeling when I swallow as if a small bubble is in my throat; like something did not go down completely. Thyroid tests have been negative. I have had 3 endoscopies and 2 colonoscopies in the last 5 years and have been through the complete battery of GI testing. As far as the labs go, I m a VERY healthy 44 yro female mother of 3, married 25 yrs. So, good grief, Dr. Grief; what s wrong with me?
