Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea With Bloating Of Stomach

Hi there, I feel bloated and I have been experiencing severe diarrhea for up to five times a day. This has been going on for three days now. I suspect it is my irritable bowl syndrome, or maybe it is because I lack most my teeth leading to poor chewing of the food. The thing is, what should I take to stop it?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of diarrhea with bloating of stomach which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis which is caused by H. pylori and electrolyte imbalance in body. I would suggest you not to panic at all. Avoid giving any sharp and spicy food. You should take light food and banana on daily basis. You should start treatment with combination of fluoroquinolones and ornidazole. Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate. Visit general physician once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination. You should take Ibuprofen with proton pump inhibitors as well. You should take antiemetic like domperidone and ranitidine for gastritis.
