Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Itchiness On The Stomach And Back
i have been experiencing mild diarrhea for about 3 weeks not triggered by anything in particular, peripheral edema 1-2+, skin is very itchy on stomach and back, and I have noticed I get winded more easily. I am active but do not exercise daily. I have HTN and take amlodipine. I am 50yo, and 5 4 and weigh 180. are these symptoms related?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have diarrhea and itchiness on the stomach and back . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like lice , contact dermatitis , food poisoning , irritable bowel syndrome , medication reaction or side-effect ,antibiotic use . But in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to side effect of the medicine . I would suggest you to consult your doctor or cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe substitute or alter the dose . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist if the problem will be related to gastric problem . For now take benadryl twice a days and avoid eating spicy and heavy food .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
