Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Abdominal Pain

I have had diarrhea for a month with mild to moderate abdominal pain on and off. Also lost 14 lbs. No fever, vomiting. Lots of gas. No visable blood in feces. No stools, just like floating pellets. My meds are 1000mg Metformin bid, Atorvastatin 40mg qid, Aggrenox25/200mg qid and Nesina 25mg qid.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

Diarrhea, bloating along with significant weight loss could be due to Inflammatory bowel disease, malabsorption syndromes like gluten sensitivity, Whipple's disease etc.
Stool microscopy, culture, colonoscopy are warranted to make a definite diagnosis.
Please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider for further evaluation.

Hope this answers your question
