Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea After Taking Mefenamic Acid For Tonsillitis
Hie I have been having diarharea since last month after taking mefanamic acid for tunsils. I went to the phamarcy to get some loperamide. It only was for a short time it came back. Today when I went to the toilet it was clear as if mucus and slimmy with no smell I similar to that discharge from the vagina. Sumtyms my stomach grumples as if it has gas. What can I do
Hello I appreciate your concern Stomach grumbling or bloating might be related to Aerophagia (swallowing of air) due to use of carbonated drinks, smoking and alcohol ill fitted denture. Another possibility is acid reflux due to stomach hyperacidity. Long standing diarrhoea needs to be evaluated in detail by stool test and blood investigation
If you can provide me.more related information like frequency of diarrhoea and it's consistency, I will be able to guide you better.
Meanwhile Have lots of fluids including ORS and fruit juices. Loperamide may help you by decreasing intestinal motility and diarrhoea.
Thanks for your question please feel free to ask for further queries Best wishes
