Suggest Treatment For Dermoid Cyst In Ovary

About 3 years ago a really large dermoid cyst was discovered on my right ovary. I had it removed and the surgeon left some remnants of my right ovary there. 3 years later I'm married and have been trying for a baby for almost 8 months now and nothing. When I went for a check up it turns out I have another dermoid on the remnant of ovary.
I am 28 and no other health concerns, of good BMI. My question is is this cyst interfering with my fertility? Should I risk a second surgery or is there anything I can do to help get pregnant. When I asked my gyn/obs he just said no it wont effect your fertility. (I have also had my tubes tested and husbands sperm tested too)
Any insights or advice/info would be really really appreciated.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Development of dermoid cyst in the remnant ovary also needs to be removed.
Dermoid of ovary is a benign ovarian tumor but chances for it to turn malignant are negligible.
If the other side ovary is functioning normally, the fertility will not be affected because the contralateral ovary will be ovulating normally.
However, the dermoid has to be managed.
Consult your gynecologist for further management.
