i'll just start off, im a 19 year old male studying in Alevels. i have a very close friend (female), and shes very depressed all the time, stays alone, is anti-social, talks about death all the time, wishes to die all the time, im friends with her since thee years and shes been like that since then, she has drastic mood swings hates everything and always degrades herself and is very miserable, just a couple of months back, she confessed to me that she was subjected to sexual abuse by her own brother, its a very shaking story to learn, i thought there had been an incident like that, but she told me it was not ONE incident, it happend for 5 years continious, since she was nine till 14, initially she told me she was too young to realize what was happening so she thought it was normal and every brother did that with his sister. But later she realized it was wrong, but never had the strength to stop. what acctually happened was, once everyone slept, he used to come in her room and she pretended to be asleep, he would undress her and press her body (she did say it used to hurt), he would rub his penis on her body and lick her genitails. this continued for five years, and every night she used to pretend to be asleep and never had the courage to stop or even tell him that she was awake. she obviously used to avoid her brother after this started, so her parents would get angry and scold her for misbehaving with elder brother, they are very very strict. and she has never had the courage to tell this to anyone. She is getting too sucidal day by day and i really need to help her. please please please tellme how to help her. and please dont say ask her to seek professional help. she wont ever tell this to anyone ever, thats just impossible, i too feel guilty for breaking her trust by discussing this with u, but i really wanto help. and no she cant talk this to her mom or any one, theyre very strict. btw shes 18 now. the problem is, im the only one shes close to, and her parents dont allow her to talk to guys, we just somehow manage to, and this thing even tortures her more that their own son is allowed to rape her right under their nose while their daughter is not allowed to even talk to a guy friend.
so this is it, just please tellme if you can help me, and answer me, since she has told me ive been in shock and disturbed, but what matters is her. she studies really well. but does nothing else, hates her life and just wants to die. please reply me, pleasee!!!
