Suggest Treatment For Delayed Allergic Reaction And Swollen Abdomen

Hello, I have been in and out of the Emergency but none of the staff can seem to resolve my medical issues. For the past to week I have noticed multiple changes with my body.. Initially on August 18th, my throat began to swell and I could hardly breath and I noticed past bug bites I had on my arms were swelling as well.. On Wednesday I returned to the ER in North Bay, Ontario and they said it was a delayed allergic reaction I was having due to black flies. The medication I received from them did take down the swelling but the bites have still not healed.. And Today I noticed swelling in my upper left abdomen, I went to my family doctor and he believed it was my spleen swelling and booked me for an ultrasound for September 11th, I decided to call telehealth and they directed me to the ER. When I got their they doctor told me that telehealth will send people with a broken finger nail to the hospital, and told me there was nothing wrong so I am now at home, still have no reason for these unexplained changes in my body. Can only solve this? Please I am very concerned about these changes. Thanks

Hi. You need an evaluation and blood work up for an enlarged spleen. It may be possible that following the bug bites you may have had a parasitic infection causing blood cells in your body to die and causing the spleen enlargement. A detailed work up is warranted. Do discuss my view in this matter with your primary physician and have a blood work up and USG abdomen.
