Suggest Treatment For Deep Vein Thrombosis Other Than Warfarin

i was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and was recently told it was not going away and had to live with my swollen right lrg for the rest of my life. Other than wafarin is there any surgery or any other means to remove clots that are a year and a half old?

Hi, if you have had DVT once then you need not take Warfarin now. You can be on Tab Ecosprin 75mg and Tab Folic acid once a day. You don't need anything else. However, if you have had DVT twice or more then you will need to continue some form of anti-coagulation. If Warfarin does not suit you then you can start taking Rivaroxaban which is safe and has lesser bleeding risk and also does not require blood tests to check for its efficacy. You can ask your Doctor about this medicine and take it but only if you have had 2 or more separate attacks of DVT. You can ask more about DVT if you need by posting a query on my profile page on the website.
