Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I went to my VA doctor because I had dark urine. They ran test, IV me to put fluids in my system. My urine was its normal color until I returned from breakfast. It s very dark. Like amber. Not sure if blood in it but some small (Micro) amounts where found. Takinghydrochlorothiazide 25mg,atorvastatin calcium 10mg and aspirin
Hi, Most common cause of dark urine is dehydration, other cause are hematuria, hemolytic anemia, heat stroke, certain liver diseases, porphria, infection etc If you do not have any other symptom then chances of underlying disease is rare as I mentioned above in other causes. Now,with adequate water intake 3 to 4 liters per day will automatically subside your problem. The drugs which you have mentioned in question can never cause dark urine. You can undergo urine examination and consult physician for further advise.
