Suggest Treatment For Dark Pimple Scars On Cheeks

I had a lot of pimples on my face but recently it has reduced to 3 or 4. I went to many doctors seeking a complete cure but now i want to get rid from those dark spots on my face especially on my cheeks. Infact i want to look fair without any marks on my face. Can you suggest an apt method. Thank you

Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation /PIH is a common complication of acne.
Treatment of acne would prevent further PIH spots from developing.
I suggest you to use topical benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment for active acne and a topical retinoid e.g Adapalene gel during night, to be applied to the whole affected area.
Topical retinoids also helpful in fading away the spots/ PIH.
Oral antibiotic may also be required if your acne is inflammatory i.e red, painful or pustular.
Specifically for PIH you may use a pigment lightening agent e.g kojic acid Or hydroquinone, once or twice daily.
You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from a dermatologist along with topical treatment.
Salicylic acid peel is particularly useful for acne and glycolic acid peel for PIH.
I suggest you to visit a dermatologist in your region. Your dermatologist will visually assess and advice accordingly.
