Suggest Treatment For Cough Asthma

Hello, I have been experiencing problems with wheezing and coughing for a few months. After lots of different tests, my diagnosis is cough asthma or they suggest a follow up with an ENT doctor to have my throat looked at. I am on an inhaler for two weeks, but I was previously, and it didn t help. Sometimes I feel tightness in my chest and throat, and I get an instant headache when I am wheezing which leads to me coughing, or vise versa. What could it be? I had heart tests, blood work, etc.... and everything came back normal.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy dots on feet and wrists . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like heart problem , sore throat , allergic asthma and post nasal drip . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist also to rule out acid reflux because sometimes dry cough is also caused by acid reflux . Doctor may order endoscopy of esophagus , x-ray of upper digestive track and ambulatory acidity test . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers , proton pump inhibitor along with sulralfat to heal the lining of throat and esophagus . For now eat light and non spicy , do warm saline gargles and tak steam twice a day .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
