HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is a dangerous condition but it is also curable.

Treatment for acidosis would include:
(1) a lot fluids
(2)insulin therapy by iv to reduce the blood surgar
(3)blood tests to electrolytes and replace electrolytes. Potassium may need to be given since the levels tend to fall during treatment

She would also need antibiotics for her chest infection.

If they are able to control the blood sugar and the infection, she should be ok

I hope this helps
