Suggest Treatment For Cough And Breathing Difficulty

hi, i'm getting cough frequently, every 6-8 months and taking some anitbiotics and its reducing. Now i have consulted 2 doctors and taken medicine for cough but its not fully reduced. I'm getting lot of mucus from throat, and some times i'm taking mucus in, so gas is coming out while coughing and i'm facing problem in taking breath while coughing. I'm suspecting asthma as my father and my grandmother is having asthma. Please suggest what to do and which specialist i have to consult?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thank you for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist. Since you are having recurrent cough with mucous production and positive family history of asthma, your disease is more favouring in asthma. And you should also get done chest x ray to rule out any chronic infection and also pulmonary function test (PFT) for diagnosis of asthma and also severity of asthma. For all these you need to consult pulmonologist.
