Suggest Treatment For Cough After Tonsils Removal

I am 35 years old and had my tonsils removed 2 months ago. Late in the day/early evening I begin coughing. Sometimes with drainage and sometimes just a dry cough. At night when I sleep I wake myself up coughing like I can t breathe. I elevate my head with at least 2 pillows and that seems to only help in the beginning. The cough is persistent at night and is more of an annoyance than anything. I don t have any pain or even a sore throat. It just won t go away. Any suggestions?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Drink plenty of water and take steam, not very hot, through your nose everyday before sleep, this should help.
