Suggest Treatment For Continuous Disequilibrium

My 25 year old son has been suffering from disequilibrium for eight months. It is continuous. He has been to two ENTs has had a vng, multiple hearing tests, has seen a general practioner, a cervical spine specialist, is seeing a neurologist, has has epley treatments, acupuncture, vestibular therapy, has been given steroids, antibiotics, lipoflavinoids all to no avail. He is a full time student, and recently has become depressed. This all started after he got a flu shot although I have been told it is a coincidence. We are desperate for help please

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history related to your young son getting a flu shot followed by disequilibrium.
It is possibly due to neuronotis or dysfunction of one of hte semicircular canals.
The only treatment in such a case is to operate on the balancing semi-circular canal on the opposite site.
He needs a high resolution CT scan of the mastoids to see if there is any leakage of the semicircular canal and to get a treatment accordingly.
Treatment of the depression at the same time and an opinion of a Psychiatrist can be of tremendous help.
