Suggest Treatment For Constipation

Hello. I have been having stomach pain (mainly left bottom part) , pudding like stools , constipation sometimes , and i also have a hemorrhoid. I have done some blood tests with a primary physician and stool tests and everything was normal.he said i dont seem to have any problems in my kidney and liver or any bacteria . However my red blood count was too little , and the doctor even said that was normal however (they were under the normal level). He recommended that i see a GI specialist . Do you think it may be something more serious that i do see a GI specialist or are these symptoms normal , especially since i have iron deficiency. Im confused and i dont know what to expect , im thinking i might go to a GI specialist and then he may tell me everything is normal too , would all those symptoms be normal?

Hello
You do need to see the GI specialist and you need colonoscopy to check for polyps or cancer which could be the cause of your low red cell count.

You may instead have irritable bowel syndrome that can be treated with medications like Bentyl or Linzess.

I would also screen you for a possible H pylori stomach infection
