Suggest Treatment For Constipation

Hi, I am 42 and noticed yesturday I was bleeding quite a bit. It was when I went to open my bowels, I have a little bit of a prolapsed bowel and often have to press around my vagina to empty. I have a fair amount of pain in my right side of my stomach and down my legs. Should I be worried and see my own doctor?

Hello Ma'am
I really appreciate your concern
Chronic constipation can lead to hardening of stool in the rectum
If I were your treating doctor I would have advised you to take stool softening agents like liquid paraffin or lactulose to relieve constipation.

Bleeding and intestinal prolapse is a matter of concern
In my opinion you should consult a general surgeon for clinical and per rectal examination to confirm the diagnosis and if required a colonoscopy.

You should take lots of dietary fibers and fluids
Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption

Hope this helps you
if you have any more queries please feel free to ask for, I will gladly answer you
Best wishes
