Suggest Treatment For Constipation

Hi, i have a 4 year old boy who seems to be suffering from constipation, he has been crying since last night and is trying to go to the toilet every 15 mins with no luck. he has a little bit of watery poo on his bum every time he comes out. I m trying to get him to eat prunes not much luck. I got something called PARAFIN from the local shop but I m unsure if he can have it, what would u suggest i do.

Hi,
If your 4 years son has not passed stool since last yesterday, then you may give him purgatives or laxatives like syrup cremaffin plus in night time to have a effortless bowel evacuation.
If the stool has become hard and difficult to pass then the other option is to put dulcolax suppository for kids directly to be put through anus into the anal canal or rectum by paramedic or pediatricians himself.
To avoid recurrence, always give him high fiber diet means all the salads like cucumber, carrot,cabbage,tomato with meal.
Consult pediatrician if problem persists.
