Reflux can cause gas and bloating so this is the reason that your doctor would have suggested the anti acids. Nexium, prilosec, prevacid, protonix, aciphex belong to the proton pump family of drugs, they reduce acid production and would work best for you. One of these can be used.
In addition, you may also need to look at your diet
Reduce any spicy, fatty, citrus, fried foods. Also cut down on gas producing foods such as beans, carbonated drinks, broccoli, cauliflower, turnips, brussel sprouts
I hope this helps
