Suggest Treatment For Constipation And Abdominal Pain
hi my son is 4 with on going constipation problems and abdominal pain. We got some blood tests back today and most things seemed normal but his ESR is slightly raised. When they did an xray all they could see is that he was really backed up . He does get pale looking and darkness under his eyes sometimes... he used to have diarrhea a lot too

Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have symptoms of constipation and abdominal pain. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like crohn's disease, food poisoning, gastroenteritis, lactose intolerance and due to electrolyte imbalance. Need not to worry. You should drink plenty of fluids and take diet rich in fibres. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order stool test , ultrasound , endoscopy along with that take history. Doctor may prescribe laxative , ornidazole or albendazole along with ranitidine. For now eat light and non spicy , avoid food like seafood and nuts , take antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while lying down .
